A few days back I reviewed a bunch of India-exclusive survey sites with the help of my buddy Sanjay. Today, I’ll be reviewing another survey site that caters to the Indian market - Zippy Opinion. But unlike the other two sites I reviewed, Zippy Opinion is also open to residents of the United States. (Sadly, only residents of India and the United States can join).
Zippy Opinion, like most survey sites you will encounter, is part of a bigger market research company. In Zippy Opinion’s case, it is operated by Markelytics Solutions, which is based in India. Markelytics Solutions is part of an even bigger company, the Cross Marketing Group, which is listed in the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
So everything looks pretty good so far. But time to dig deeper. If you’ve been wondering whether Zippy Opinion is legit or not, here’s my Zippy Opinion review!
Zippy Opinion: First Impressions
Zippy Opinion looks pretty good at first glance. Its website won’t win any web design awards, but it’s easy to navigate and use - and aren’t those the most important things about a survey site?
They’ve worked with over 40 brands (and counting!), have conducted exactly 1,081,562 surveys, and have distributed ₹43,938,164 (equivalent to about $641,105). Apart from those impressive figures, the site also has testimonials and, most importantly, complete details about how the site works. Everything is easy to find and read.
My Hot Take: Excellent first impression! This is the type of site that gets you excited to join the moment you first visit it. It doesn’t give off any sketchy vibes at all.
How to Earn on Zippy Opinion
On Zippy Opinion, you earn by completing surveys. Each one you complete will earn you Zippy Points. When you’ve earned a minimum amount, you can trade these points for gift vouchers.
Whenever a survey becomes available, a notification will be sent to you via email. Surveys are matched to you based on your profile and demographic. For example, if you’re into cosmetics, a survey about a cosmetics product will be assigned to you.
Because surveys are matched to your profile, I recommend completing your profile and adding all the requested info. That way, Zippy Opinion gets a good idea what sort of surveys to make you qualified to take.
Referral Program
Zippy Opinion also has a referral program that lets you earn whenever your friends sign up.
Whenever one of your recruits signs up and completes their first survey, you will earn between 5 and 50 Zippy Points. It isn’t the best survey program around, but at least they have one.
Bonuses and Monthly Contests
The site also has a bunch of bonuses in addition to their main earning methods. They are:
Registration Bonus - Get 25 bonus points if you register using their app.
In-App Survey Bonus - Get 25 bonus points Whenever you complete a survey using their app.
Facebook Contest - They hold monthly contests on Facebook, which pays out 300 points.
Twitter Contest - The also hold monthly contests on Twitter, which pays out 400 points.
Sweepstakes - This isn’t in effect yet, but they are planning on holding a monthly raffle. Entries will be available for 500 points, and the lucky winner can stand to win 2,500 points.
My Hot Take: The survey program is good. The bonuses are awesome. But the referral program is a bit meh. With other sites, you can earn a percentage of your referral’s earnings, sometimes down multiple tiers. But Zippy Opinion is pretty basic. Still, I think the other earning methods make up for it.
Earning Potential on Zippy Opinion
Your earning potential will depend on how many surveys you get qualified for, and how much time you can dedicate to completing those surveys. I can’t emphasize the importance of filling out your profile completely. That way, you can maximize the amount of surveys you qualify for. When you do get notifications about available surveys, I recommend you try to complete it as soon as possible. Because sometimes, a survey will be deactivated when it the site gets enough answers. When this happens while you’re in the middle of taking the survey, you’re screwed. So be prompt!
On average, surveys take a few minutes to complete and will earn you about 25 to 250 Zippy Points, depending on the survey’s length and complexity. There’s no cash equivalent to these points.
My Hot Take: Earning potential is pretty decent. Not excellent, but decent.
Payout Options on Zippy Opinions
When you’ve accumulated a minimum of 1,000 Zippy Points, you can exchange it for gift vouchers worth ₹400. It takes four to six weeks to process your payout request, after which your voucher will be sent to your email inbox.
My Hot Take: Okay, this is disappointing. First, there’s no cash option. I can deal with a site having few earning or payout methods, but it’s gotta have cash. Not having cash option is almost a deal-breaker for me. Second, the processing takes to freaking long. You need to wait about a month just to get your earnings, which isn’t even in cash! Yeah, this sucks big time.

The Verdict: Legit or Scam?
Zippy Opinion is legit but lackluster. They’ve got good earning methods, but it kind of goes downhill from there. I think my least favorite aspect of the site is its payout methods. It takes way too long, and there’s no cash option.
If you’re looking to try a survey site, you can give this a go. They’re decent, but don’t expect a stellar experience.
