How to Earn
The site will send you invites to surveys that are relevant to your demographic. For example, if you’re a new parent, you may get surveys about baby items. Whenever you complete a survey, you will get paid a cash amount. I like the fact that they pay in cash, not points. I don’t need to mentally convert my points to cash to find out how much I’m actually earning.
Another cool thing about the site is that they have surveys geared towards teens. If you have teenagers in your home, the site could be a useful tool for teaching hard work and budgeting.
My Hot Take: The earning methods are pretty one dimensional. You get surveys, and nothing else. No micro tasks, no referrals. A little disappointing, but it looks like they do it well, at least.
Earning Potential on Yo Opinion
You will earn anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars per survey, depending on the length and complexity of the survey. And your actual monthly earnings will depend on the number of surveys you qualify to take, and the amount of time you can dedicate to completing surveys. But to be on the safe side, I will say you earnings will amount to a few dollars a month - good for pocket or beer money.
My Hot Take: Pretty average. Not the worst I’ve seen, but nothing remarkable either.
Payout Options on Yo Opinion
Once you’ve earned a minimum of $10, you can request a cash out. You will receive your finds either by PayPal or via bank transfer. No gift cards or other options.
My Hot Take: I always prefer cash, so the lack of a gift card option is not a big deal to me, but I know other members might want to have that option.

The Verdict: Legit or Scam?
Yo Opinion is legit! They don’t have the most extensive rewards program out there, but they do what they do well. The site won’t be my first choice, but I’ll be happy to keep them as a back-up site for times I don’t get survey invites on other sites.
