There are a lot of really good survey or GPT (“Get paid to..”) sites on the internet right now. With competition at an all-time high for the attention of potential members, these sites really need to make an immediate impression on the public.
Sometimes, sites try to do that by maintaining a professional appearance. And then you got sites like TreasureTrooper which just goes all-out on the fun aspect.
I was looking for survey sites to try out, but my search pretty much stopped when I came across TreasureTrooper. I must have spent an hour going through the site before I even registered. It wasn’t because I was hesitant to register. The site was just so much fun to read through!
For starters, the site has a very eye-catching Indiana Jones slash Tomb Raider look. Survey sites and their tasks can sometimes get redundant, but TreasureTrooper really makes an effort to game-fy earning points and rewards.
But beyond the fun exterior, is the site actually legit? Well, they’ve been around for over six years, and in that amount of time, their members have earned over $7 million! That’s a pretty staggering amount. And I’ll be honest, the amount made a bigger impression on me than the look of the site.
After admiring the different sections of the site, I went ahead and registered. I’ve been using TreasureTrooper for a few months now, so here’s a detailed review of the site.
How it Works
The site is a free service that rewards you for doing simple online tasks or offers. TreasureTrooper has hundreds of offers, with payouts ranging from $0.50 to $50.
Once you’ve completed an offer, it will be added to the “Pending Offers” under your account page. Once they are verified, they will be moved to your “Approved Offers” page, and the corresponding monetary reward will be added to your “My Treasure” page.
In addition to the money, you will also receive gold coins which you can use to redeem al sort of cool items in the Trading Hut section.
You can request a payment once you reach at least $20. A cool feature I like is their automatic payment. As long as you reach the minimum, your previous month’s earnings will be sent on the 15th to 20th of each month.
TreasureTrooper also has a robust referral system. Whenever your referral registers on TreasureTrooper, you will forever get an extra 20% on all the offers you complete! What’s even better is the fact that you will get a 5% commission whenever your friends, in turn, refer their other friends. I earned big money this way, and I highly recommend you try getting your friends onboard as well.
How to Earn
Complete Offers
TreasureTrooper pays you to do a variety of tasks, such as filling out forms, sampling products, or performing searches using specific search engines. These tasks pay in cash. The site has over $3,000 in offers at any given time!
Take Paid Surveys
Eight surveys are made available to you every day. These surveys are worth up to $1 each. They have a unique survey panel where dozens of extra survey opportunities are posted. I like that feature because I think eight surveys per day is a little low.
Play Fun Games
There are a bunch of mini-games for you to play. These games pay out in pearls, gems, and gold coins that can be traded for bonus prizes.
The site routinely has free contests and treasure hunts that pay out in cash! The current treasure hunt is for the lost statue of the Mambiko Tribe. TreasureTrooper will pay $100 to anyone who finds it!
Refer a Friend
I already mentioned this a while ago, but I’m gonna repeat it because it’s such a great program. Boost your earnings by 20% and earn 5% whenever they refer more people. What’s not to love?
Goodies and Fun Stuff
I mentioned earlier that in the ultra-competitive GPT scene, sites really need to set themselves apart, and provide a memorable experience to potential members.
TreasureTrooper really went all-out to do just that. To know what I mean, just check out their Goodies section. It’s chock-full of fun stuff. They don’t necessarily add to the practical experience of using the site, but who cares, when they’re so much fun!
The Goodies section contains the following:
Comics
Ever wonder where the site’s treasure-hunter theme came from? Find out through the site’s special comic that spans over 100 individual strips! That’s a lot of comics, and shows that TreasureTrooper is really serious about maintaining their theme.
The comic covers the adventures of the brave and dashing Jack Amazon , professional treasure hunter. Read on and follow Jack on his adventures as he explores all four corners of the world in his hunt for the ultimate treasure.
Screensaver and Desktop Backgrounds
Jack Amazon’s stories are really fun. It’s awesome that you could also customize your computer with a variety of TreasureTrooper-themed screensavers and desktop backgrounds. Screensavers are available for both Mac and Windows. Desktop backgrounds are available in 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, and 1280 x 1024 sizes.
Desktop Application
The desktop app is an awesome add-on feature to the website. It basically works as a reminder app. It gives you up-to-date info on new offers, and opportunities. In the past, I’ve had important notifications et lost in my email inbox, so it’s cool to have something that gives notifications that are impossible to miss.
It also had an “insulting mode” which makes the notifications funnier… and a bit mean. Check it out!
The Verdict: Legit or Scam?
I think it’s very obvious based on my earlier comments, but TreasureTrooper is legit! The site puts a pretty fun spin on the GPT concept. The design is awesome, it has great add-ons and goodies, and knows how to encourage loyalty to their platform.
But don’t let the fun visuals and comics distract you from the fact that this is still a legit earning platform. They’ve given out over $7 million over six years, and if that doesn’t prove how legit they are, nothing will.
As with every survey GPT, you’ll have to stack as many completed tasks as possible to earn good money. But keep at it, and you’ll see that the earnings really do add up to good money!
