I honestly thought I was just one in a very small community of people who actually do surveys on a regular basis for passive income. Then I stumbled upon this forum, only to discover there’s quite a number of us doing the same thing! That was an awesome realization (which also makes me feel less lonely).
There’s also one startling thing I learned only recently - even countries as far as Singapore now have a sizable number of users doing surveys for extra cash! I have a freelancer friend living there, and in one conversation he casually mentioned MOBROG and how much he liked answering surveys for them during his free time.
Now, I’ve never heard of that site prior to our talk, but needless to say, his feedback got me intrigued. Is it as good as he claims it to be, or is it a survey scam?
First things first - what is it?
MOBROG specializes in paid online and mobile surveys. Yup, they have both a website and apps for iOS and Android users, which is always a good feature for those who want instant notification on available surveys wherever they may be at the moment.
How long has it been around?
It was established in 2011 in Hamburg, Germany under the Splendid Research marketing group. MOBROG is now available in over 60 countries, with a worldwide network aiming towards high-quality large-scale surveys.
Does it pay well?
On their website, MOBROG right away states that on average, they pay between $0.50 and $3 per completed survey. I would say that’s pretty much the going rate of most paid survey sites, and it’s good that this site is honest about it from the get-go. Payments are sent via PayPal, with the minimum “trigger” amount of $4 (or depending on your location, which can be found in your profile).
Longer surveys will have a higher remuneration compared to shorter ones. On a special note: make sure the email you will use to register with MOBROG is the same as your PayPal email, otherwise, that could pose problems for payouts.
There is a catch, though, and it seems to be one I’ve been reading about often enough among MOBROG users. Though my friend from Singapore hasn’t had anything to complain about his survey stint with the site so far, other people have pointed out fewer opportunities to complete surveys depending on their location. Some get screened out in the beginning, denoting incompatibility, while others do not get as many notifications as other users in different countries.

How do I start earning extra income from MOBROG?
As with most paid survey sites, you first have to register and set up a profile account. This account will be the primary basis for your receiving online survey invites. That’s why you’re encouraged to fill out your profile as accurately and thoroughly as you can for your MOBROG login page. Most of the surveys deal with hobbies and personal preferences, along with your geographic and demographic background.
The most basic info you are required to fill out includes your name, email address, age, gender, your country (this one requires honesty, with no VPNs because they are strict about registering with just one country using the local language), etc. You are encouraged to update your profile regularly so they can match you with suitable surveys down the line.
You can also refer MOBROG to your friends, and if they accept the invitation and accomplish the surveys required for registration, you will get $1. I’m a big fan of the referral system, so I would recommend this route for additional income on top of the surveys you will complete.
The verdict?
Well, what do you know, my friend was right. MOBROG is a legit way to earn extra cash for answering surveys, from almost anywhere in the world you might be (it’s available in more than 65 countries!). It’s also gotten an Excellent Trustpilot rating so far. As if to illustrate their legitimacy further, MOBROG has a wall of video clips of satisfied users all over the world - from India to Mexico, to Peru - giving testimonies about their positive experience with the site.
The biggest issues so far with MOBROG mirror those of other paid survey sites’. Some countries might not get the same kind of opportunities as other countries as far as online survey invites go. Although since it’s available in over 60 nations, that’s quite an impressive reach compared to others available only to the US and the UK.
