If you like earning gift cards for doing something you would be doing anyways- like shopping for groceries, clothing, household goods, etc, you should join up with Shopkick. It's an app you download to a phone or tablet that rewards you with points for buying different sponsored products and then taking a picture of and submitting your receipt into the app.

In addition to getting points for buying things and submitting your receipts, Shopkick also rewards you just for walking into certain stores- literally you just walk in the door and earn easy points. You can also get points for "scanning" items in the store on the shelf. You use your phone or tablet camera in the app and the app will "scan" the targeted product and instantly add points into your account. It's kind of like a product scavenger hunt, find the exact product listed, scan it and earn.

There are all kinds of gift cards you can redeem your points for. If you like earning free stuff for an activity you would be doing anyways then Shopkick is an app you really should check out!

This works good. plus you get kicks when you go walk into walmart
You get kicks for walking into a lot of places - not just Walmart. For instance, this weekend was a "Big Kick Weekend" so I got 100 kicks (which is what they call their points) just for walking into Marshalls and TJ Max. Got 50 kicks to walk into Best Buy and then once I was in Best Buy I earned another 950 kicks just walking around the store and scanning stuff on the shelves and on the display floor. Not too shabby.

Also, this past weekend my Shopkick app asked me if I would like the option to redeem kicks for PayPal deposit money, so of course I clicked on "Yes." Looks like Shopkick might be considering letting you redeem you kick points for cash, which would be AwEsOmE!

Thanks for the share! How much can you make on a monthly basis if you use it to its full capability?
It honestly depends on how you use it and what you consider it's "Full Capability." Obviously, if you buy things at online stores or even at a store you physically go to and submit your receipts, you can earn a lot quicker. For instance, I have a dog that I always buy Beggin' Strips treats for and those treats are an item that is on the list for Fry's grocery stores regularly that I can get kicks for each time I buy them and submit my receipt by taking a picture of it inside the Shopkick app. I personally, don't go out of my way to buy things on the list of items that I wouldn't normally buy, so I don't submit too many receipts. Every once in awhile, though, they will have other items that I usually buy and can submit in for points. However, I make it a point when we are out shopping on the weekends (something we regularly do every weekend for something) to go to a store that has a lot of scannable items (like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Sears, etc) and my boyfriend, kids and I will all look for items to scan and try to make it like a scavenger hunt activity. We typically spend about 30 minutes to a hour at a store or even at the mall scanning items, and we try to make it a competitive game to see who can find and ultimately scan the most items. By doing this, we earn about 3,000 - 4,000 kicks a month. Just from walking into stores, scanning things and submitting one or two receipts here and there for things we would be buying anyways. If you are a big online shopper (which I am not) you can earn a WHOLE lot more. A lot of online stores will give you anywhere from 1-5 kick points per dollar spent so you can earn pretty quickly that way.

You can start earning gift cards at 500 kicks. Now, of course, it's not going to be a high dollar gift card or anything like that, but starting at 500 kick points you can redeem for a $2 Target gift card, a $2 American Eagle gift card, a $2 Amazon gift card, etc. Each month I earn at least 2,500 kick points which works out to a $10 Target gift card (which is what I currently prefer to redeem for) every month. Throughout May and so far into June there have been a lot of "Big Kick" weekends where you can earn a lot more points than usual for walking into stores, there are more items to scan and more common items to redeem so in the past 3 weeks I have earned 5,137 kick points. I'm currently about 1,100 points away from earning my first $25 Target gift card. Not sure if I will be able to earn that many kicks in the next week, but I'm confident that within 2 weeks I'll have that free $25 to spend.

I'm usually most active at Target. We shop there a LOT, so it gets to the point where I can't get any more walk-ins for Target in a month because I end up going there more than once a week a lot of the time and I think you can only get walk-in points for going into stores once a week at the most. Maybe one or two times more than that at most.

Love Shopkick. I was just in Walmart yesterday scanning items and cashed out a $2.00 digital Walmart gift card and used it at the self checkouts!

I actually just made it yesterday while I was out shopping with my boyfriend to the 6,250 points needed to get my $25 Target gift card. My boyfriend was out shopping with me and he made it to his 6,250 points, too. So yesterday, my boyrfriend and I got $50 to go shop at Target!

Getting the reward was really easy, I just clicked on "My Rewards" in the "Kicks Center" section that it right in the middle of my Shopkick app. After confirming my reward, I got an in-app message letting me know that my virtual Target gift card was ready to go. The gift card number is saving right in the Shopkick app for me, and if I decide that I don't want to use my gift card for online purchases, I just have to go to my nearest Target store and I can either give them the gift card number or let them scan the little QVC barcode saved in the "My Rewards" section of my Shopkick app. I can even print the barcode out to take to the store if I wanted to do it that way - it's super easy.

If you decide that you want to check out and try Shopkick after reading this thread, you can use my referral code at sign-up and you will get a free 250 points (and I will, too!)

That sounds like a great app. Earning points sounds really cool in order to pay for purchases. I will definitely have to use the app and use your referral link.
