I recently discovered that there are survey sites that are safe for kids to join. You see, I’m a firm believer in equal opportunity earning, especially when kids start demanding more pocket money for things they want to buy. My wife and I think there’s no time like the present to educate our kids about both the value of a dollar and hard work. On the flip side, we’re pretty protective about what our children could encounter online – even in seemingly harmless pursuits like doing small tasks and answering simple questions for market research.
In line with this, I am happy to report that my daughter is now looking forward to answering more teenage surveys for money ever since she tried some of the ones I discovered and made a list of. I’ve already explained to her how my earnings help us out with our family budget. Fortunately, she saw the potential in building up her savings by way of survey sites, as well as getting some cool rewards that aren’t necessarily in cash. To help keep her interest sustained, I decided to review some more survey sites for teens in this blog post. I am hoping that it helps her and that it will help you and your teenager in turn!
TeensEyes
One of the most specific teen paid surveys on the list is TeensEyes. It has made it to my list of survey sites for kids, as well. I like the premise of this one because there’s parental participation. I received some paperwork from TeensEyes’ parent company C&R Research, and I had to indicate that I’m fine with my teenager being a participant in their studies. This step alone makes it legit for me, but thankfully there’s more to TeensEyes than mere parental acknowledgment.
Teenagers between 13 to 18 years old can participate in TeensEyes surveys. The questions are ideally suited for their age and lifestyle, too: from TV shows and movies to the kind of clothes and snacks they prefer. No wonder she’s hooked.
Panel Polls
Teen online surveys that specifically target teenagers are quite rare (duh, right?). So when a “family-oriented” survey site gets on my income-earning radar, I make sure to look it up and give it a test spin. Panel Polls calls itself “the cool opinions site for families,” but it goes beyond survey-taking. They offer beta testing for different apps, games, and websites which perfectly suits my teenager’s interests and temperament. Panel Polls also has quite the pedigree, having been around since 1999. Rewards can be redeemed as both cash or a varied menu of gift cards, which my daughter likes.
SurveySavvy
SurveySavvy has been around for decades, so it’s a tried-and-tested survey site that nevertheless continues to innovate (they now have an app). I have tried it myself and liked the pay potential it offered (very low minimum payout threshold at just a dollar, and the possibility of earning around $5 per survey if you’re a US citizen). But how does all this potential translate for me and my teenager? For starters, membership is open to anyone who is 14 years old and above. And since there’s a referral system in place, I can earn off my kids’ earnings (haha, Dad of the Year award right here!).
GrabPoints
GrabPoints is a GPT and paid survey site I would recommend to anyone – adult or teenager alike. It pays well, it pays fast (via PayPal too!), and the tasks are all doable, enjoyable stuff! GrabPoints has made it to my regular roster of second-income sites – so much so that my teenager is familiar with it and has started asking about how it works. I’m glad she shares my enthusiasm for what this nifty get-paid-to site offers. She qualifies as a member because anyone who is 13 years or older can join. I also got her as a referral, so whenever she earns, I earn!
And she was so happy to learn that it’s not just all rote, dull surveys to do here. She can watch videos, play games, download apps, and more! The only task I’ve forbidden her to do was take on paid offers because a lot of those require credit card information (she doesn’t have a credit card yet, thank goodness!). Other than that, she has described the experience as “getting an allowance for stuff I normally do online, anyway.” I don’t think I could’ve put it better myself.
SwagBucks
SwagBucks is another one that has made it to my “constant” rotation of survey sites. It’s also one of the few sites that consistently get more compliments and good feedback compared to contrary opinions. I haven’t had a bad experience with this site in the years I’ve been a member, which is why I recommended it to my teenager. I even showed her my survey and GPT site earnings spreadsheet, and she saw for herself the average amount I make weekly on SwagBucks . That sealed the deal for her.
Anyone can sign up for free membership as long as they are over 13 years old. And, just like with GrabPoints, there are lots of interesting tasks to do here. There are surveys, of course, but so far my teenager’s favorites include web browsing, playing online games, and watching videos. She wanted to do online shopping for cash back, but I had to put my foot down on that one.
The Verdict?
I’m pretty sure there are more online surveys for teens out there. But the five ones I’ve listed here get my approval for being safe, practical, free to join, and actually keeps my teenager interested and eager to accomplish. My only requirements for her joining these sites is that they are age-appropriate, pay well and fast, and offer the kind of tasks suitable for their attention span and temperament. It’s been going well, so far.
