More and more, I’m learning that it’s not only in the UK or US that survey sites are becoming increasingly popular. I think that’s great. I’ve noticed how a lot of the complaints regarding survey panels have to do with surveys not being readily available to countries besides the US and UK. On that note, it’s good to know they exist, after all.
AIP Online Surveys is one of those sites that are available for members from different countries. The system remains essentially the same, though the demographics understandably vary from country to country (as well as rates, I presume). I stumbled upon this paid survey site while browsing for others I can join, and figured I could review it to see if it’s legit, or another survey scam.
First things first - what is it?
Based on the name, it’s obviously a paid survey site. The About Us page describes its existence as something that “serves business organizations and entities from all over the world, primarily from Europe, the U.S. and Asia.” The members’ “voices” in turn serve to help develop better products and services from these partner business organizations.
The AIP Online Surveys homepage reminds me of an active bulletin board at a university or some other institution. You can tell right away that the site strives to keep members updated on such things as a list of redeemed payments for the month, explanations and status updates (plus apologies) on system errors, and other announcements and issues that cannot be fully addressed within an FAQ page. I could sense a very no-nonsense, straightforward way to share opinions here and get paid for it.
How long has it been around?
AIP Online Surveys is owned by the Rakuten Group (2014), which used to be the AIP Corporation (established 2006).
Does it pay well?
For every completed survey, a member gets rewarded with EPoints. A hundred EPoints is equal to a dollar. I would say this is pretty much the average rate being offered by other survey sites. Both gift vouchers and cash payouts are available for members to redeem, with a minimum of 500 EPoints for both cash conversion and voucher redemption (this could vary according to country, though).
Is registration free?
Joining AIP Online Surveys is absolutely free. However, it’s important to sign up for the corresponding AIP site of your country. I linked the US website below, but if you’re from another country like India or Thailand or the Philippines, you’re might have to Google your country’s AIP version if it doesn’t show up on your browser right away.
How do I start earning extra income from AIP Online Surveys?
After registering, you will be asked to answer questions for your basic profile. However, it’s good to delve deeper into the more detailed questions that include your employment, health, favorite sports and games, and family stuff. Doing this will help you get more surveys that are a good fit with your lifestyle and preferences.
Members receive an email or text notification about a new survey, which you will need to complete before the cutoff time. You can also check out new ones on the Survey sidebar. Each potential survey includes the topic, number of EPoints to be earned, and approximately how many questions and how long it will take you to complete it. Points are accumulated depending on the complexity of the surveys, their length, and other factors.
You will have to hustle when you get a notification or a new survey comes up, though. They can quickly get completed by other members and once that happens, the survey will be closed off. There is also a possibility of getting screened out during the preliminary questionnaire before you can get taken to the actual survey.
The verdict?
It’s a legit survey site. I personally think the coolest thing about AIP Online Surveys is how it’s available in different countries, giving more worldwide members bigger opportunities to earn on the side. There’s a very community-like look and feel to the entire site, with its no-nonsense design and straightforward information. And it’s been around long enough to have its users actually make money from participating in it. However, as with most paid survey sites, I think AIP Online Surveys is good for a passive income, and nothing more.
